15 Weeks 1 Day

Dear Sage,

Tonight is one of those sleepless nights. And not because of you this time ;) I'm just an insomniac, really. So here I sit with a ginger cookie and glass of red wine, talking to you... It has been raining for two days straight. We haven't been outside for a while. It's been nice to stay cozy, and bundled inside the house. But I know you are going to want to be outdoors soon, thats just how you and I are. We are summer people, we need the sun!
Yesterday you turned 15 weeks old! You are completely addicted to your pacifier, which is totally adorable, but also makes me sad in a way. You talk less with it in, and I'm starting to miss hearing what you have to say :(
Your brothers are coming home tomorrow! I'm so excited for a fun weekend with the whole family :) I will be sure to post lots of photos! I bet we will end up going to see a movie or something! We are all movie addicts. I only wish your dad and brothers we theatre addicts like me as well! I'm trying to get them all on stage. You too little man. Were going to start you early :) I think you already love music and entertainment. Just yesterday I was singing and playing my ukulele for you and Eva. You both watched intently. Of course the second your pacifier fell out from smiling too big, you were sure to remind me :)
Oh my goodness, today my dreams of you being 100% vegan were shattered! Your daddy snuck you a taste of whip cream from his Oreo Cookie milkshake! He is always trying to sneak things like that. Last weekend he made a cake and tried to give you batter! Raw batter!  It wasn't vegan either...  I'm going to have a serious talk with this man.

Alright my sweetheart, I think I'm ready to call it a night. I love you so much. I hope you are having the sweetest dreams right now! I look forward to your precious smile in the morning <3

Weekend ReCap

14 weeks 2 days old

Dearest baby Sage, It was a long lazy weekend!

Lets recap, Friday afternoon 10.4.2013 your granny and I took all of the laundry to the laundromat. We were there for a few hours. (All of the older gentleman were trying to take her out on a date haha) We had like six giant bags it was exhausting I can't wait until we are settled into our new home, and have a washer and dryer of our own! I reeeeally miss ours right about now! By the time we got home you were knocked out! I guess laundry day was tiring for you too.

Saturday morning 10.5.2013 we slept in with daddy. Its always so nice to sleep in after a long sleepless night. I think on top of your nightly feedings, you have been really hot. It was really warm this weekend! Saturday after chilling at home with us, daddy took you to meet your brother Sufian! He is excited that he is a big brother now. He is 3 years old. You guys will probably be good friends when you are older :) While you were gone I went and had a girls night with one of my closest friends, Liddy. She is crazy and awesome. I usually take you over to her house when I go.

Sunday Morning 10.6.2013 was another wonderfully chill day. Your Granny made waffles and we watched some tai chi movies. It wouldn't surprise me if you became some crazy martial artist, fluent in chinese because your daddy and I are always watching martial arts movies. haha.

14 weeks 5 days old

Today 10.7.2013 it rained all day. We watched old movies together, and played with Eva. It was one of those cuddle up on the couch with a warm blanket and cuddle type of days, so that's exactly what we did! I cooked a delicious veggie pasta tonight, and your daddy made some of his "special white sauce" There was the most beautiful sunset after the rain stopped. The entire back yard was pink! After dinner we watched a bit of "Kipper" and your daddy put you to sleep. Well, he has a midterm to study for so I better get going and help him! I hope you have sweet dreams my love!

So now for today's adventures!

This morning I woke you with kisses! You looked at me so funny, like WHAT IS GOING ON!? Then started smiling once you saw that it was me. I am really trying to establish our schedule so I HAD to wake you up. At least I did it sweetly though :) You me and daddy did get to sleep in this morning, for a bit. That is something I love about Tuesday's and Thursdays... No school for daddy until 1! After you woke up you hung out with dad while he did some homework and I got ready. Around 12:30 we all hopped in the car to take him to school. You and I settled into a coffee shop not too far from campus. I sat there and wrote a bit and you laughed and flirt with the ladies ;)

We packed up and headed to Grandma and Grandpas house to visit. You are ALWAYS the center of attention over there. We stayed there for a while laughing and chatting with you. I also got to see all of the pictures we took last Saturday from your 3 month photo shoot! SO CUTE! I'm pretty sure we all wore you out pretty good because you are sleeping like a baby right now! ... Oh wait...

I love you Sage. You are my light, my love, and my life.

14 Weeks Old

10.2.2013

My Dearest Sage,

Yesterday was a tiring day for us, so I did not get a chance to write you. We barely slept the night before so we napped most of the day. I think we may be back on track again. Our sleep schedule has been messed up. Probably due to the season changing. It's been getting darker much earlier.

Anyway... After we finally dragged our little butts out of bed we went with Granny to Garrison Middle School to work out. It was a Beautiful night. Fall this year has been absolutely lovely. There were some children playing baseball in the football field, you watched as I jogged around the track. There is a little Garden there as well. It looks quite abandoned but Granny and I took it upon ourselves to harvest the last of the herbs that were there. Its funny They had Parsley, Rosemary, and Thyme but you were the ONLY Sage in the garden! The picture above is you and Granny in between the corn stalks and sunflowers :)

Once we came home I made veggie wraps and fruit smoothies for dinner, while you slept. After you woke up we took a nice soothing bath, and got all squeaky clean :) You love the water! Daddy came home later after visiting Sufian, and you had fallen asleep before he got back. He snuck in a few goodnight kisses while you were sleeping and almost woke you up! Oh well, I can't blame him.

People Watching

You are 13 Weeks and 6 Days old

Dearest Sage,

        Did you read my letter last night? Because you slept amazingly through the night! Thanks sweet boy :) We had a great day today. You me and Daddy slept in this morning, and this afternoon we took daddy to school. On our way home we got a cup of coffee, and did a little people watching. There is something about sitting outside that you just love. Also I love to bring you out of your car seat and show you off :)

After people watching we came home, and took Granny to run some errands. We went to a few grocery stores and boy oh boy are you a lady stopper!? And pretty much anyone that sees you for that matter. There is something about you that just automatically brightens peoples days. You are definitely a light. Not to mention extremely cute. Especially now that you have so much to say! While we were riding around in the car today, I could see you in the mirror just talking away! It was awesome.

I think we are going to go try to visit Grandma and Grandpa in the next few days. They probably miss you a lot.  try to take you over there a few times a week. Grandpa thinks you are, and I quote "The COOLEST little boy on the face of this planet" ...I have to agree. He is so excited to have a grandson! And Grandma can't get enough of you. She is so silly, you two have long laughing contests and talk to each other forever.

Well I better sleep while I can, you and daddy are! I love you Sagey baby. Sleep well <3
